Graphic Designer/Developer Contract

We are looking for a talented, imaginative and multi-faceted Graphics Designer/Developer to drive the creative design, implementation and testing of our mobile applications commercial website and mobile services.
We like to work with people who can think outside of the box.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide design and graphic elements for both web applications as well as mobile smart phone applications
- Work closely with both mobile client developers as well as web application developers in delivering total solutions
- Provide guidance and recommendations in procuring appropriate tool chains for graphic development
- Implementation and maintenance of a number of dynamic and interactive web and mobile-based projects
- Code optimization for speed and compatibility
- Work within project management schedules to meet deadlines
Required Skills:
- 3+ years demonstrated development experience in UI design in both web and mobile spaces
- Strong skills in graphic design with a portfolio as evidence of experience
- Strong skills with Photoshop and Illustrator
- Superior knowledge and hand coding ability with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency with cross-browser/cross-platform issues, DOM and W3C web standards
- Experience with Flash or ActionScript a bonus
- Familiarity with multi-media (audio/video/images) encoding issues and related technologies
- Ability to hand code without WYSIWYG editors is required
